In keeping with the momentum of last year, the event was organized in the form of an international conference on fleshy fruit open to scientists from all over the world.

By gathering leading European researchers and worldwide renowned scientists in the field, the Conference offered a framework for highlighting the latest advances in fleshy fruit research and updating the communitee on the new resources and tools becoming available especially those related to the two model fruit: tomato and grape.

Most importantly, the conference  provided a forum for exchange and discussion to participating scientists.
